The National Christmas Tree

Since The National Park Foundation was one of my clients when I worked at Matrix Group International, I had the pleasure of building the website for the lighting of the 2008 National Christmas Tree. I was able to add in some pretty cool jQuery functionality in various places of the site. On the homepage, I added in some rotating branding images, similar to the ones that I created for the National Park Foundation Leadership Summit website.

I also added the standard share this and send to friend functionality that I implemented on other sites that I built at Matrix. Finally, for the display of the Christmas Pathway Of Peace, I used JavaScript to create a lightbox display and make it easy to see all of the state ornaments.

With each lighting of the Christmas tree, some design elements on the site are updated.
