It is pretty sad how much my life depends on the internet. I got to work early today and left early, with plans on writing a couple of blog posts and working on my redesigned logo. But of course, my power went out. So right now, I am sitting Border’s, and I caved and bought an hour of internet time. Oh well. Here are a few links I found interesting this week:
- The Accessibility Checklist I Vowed I’d Never Write
This is an awesome checklist with some guidelines to keep in mind when considering the accessibility of a site.
- Investing Strategies for iPhone Customers
Wow, that’s a pretty powerful graph. Really shows how much the value of technology drops the instant you walk out of the store. As awesome as the iPhone looks, I would never buy it on the AT&T network. The only way I would buy it were if it were available on Verizon.
- Design Critiquing
Veerle talks about a very important part of the design process: critiquing. I sometimes find it hard to say why I don’t like certain things. I guess that is the downside of not having any professional design training.
- “You have to treat your employees like customers”
This is a great quote:
“When employees are trusted and treated like adults, they appreciate it just as much. The result: loyal employees who want to stick around forever.”
I am hoping this week that I can finish up an article discussing some cool new things I found out about WordPress while implementing my CEO’s blog, so be on the lookout for that.
